Using magnetic playsets to help your child’s speech and language development:
Magnetic playsets are great for the speech-language pathologist or parent on the go, as they are easily packable. The magnetic playset shown here is a town, but there are also house, zoo, farm, construction and beach playsets, which can all be used during language tasks. There are a ton of locations, characters, and actions to talk about during play with each set. Parents and educators can use magnetic playsets to work on pronouns, verb tenses, object functions, following directions, answering questions, sentence construction and story narratives. Preschool and elementary school age children love this activity and it can be adapted to many abilities and ages.
